Coward 06:40
“Coward” she screamed “May the plague be with you” There’s no escape when I summon the emperor. The clock has spoken, blatantly: - Pay your dues - Flagellate! Flagellate! Flagellate! Flagellate! Martyrs shall have no peace! To escape the eternal wheel The betrayal must kill. Judas kiss. Four arms, a bowl, a fork, she came unannounced to eat my body dismembering my limbs, Luring me with the sweetest lullaby: Pride. This place isn’t safe anymore. Lo, and behold: Female torsos suspended through the air, Hooks piercing the skin of their bare backs, And their deafening cries drowned by the chanting crowd: BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! Can you hear them? A muffled clamor full of groans… and the sound, like fine rain, made by the smoke from the pyres. But…why should I believe? The fool in me cannot truly see. Defeat, by my own hand… Is this the end? Oh dreams, crystal smithereens… This curse, this wicked fate, my bitter failure! There is no glory in silent suffering There’s more in life than secret guilt, shame and penitence The eternal punishment divine is just a devil in your mind There is no meaning to it all, take the fall and be reborn. Sink! Into the unknown! Down! Inside the abyss! Take the fall! take the fall! take the fall! take the fall! There is no glory in silent suffering, There’s more to give, let me live and show me… All hail the king of cowards! All hail the king of cowards! All hail the king of cowards! All hail the king of cowards! All hail the king of cowards!

Black. Where am I? Is it time to come back? Again, life… "Where should we be if nobody tried to find out what lies beyond?" Who’s my creator? And why has he made my conscious being? Far away from gods and angels I’m just a tool, a thing Fragmented device An artifact of greed - The glass harmonica has shattered - As Man became the Beast Born from blood, anguish and grief The flesh machinery won’t find relief As promised, the monster shall arise! “The green will be stained forever” Son of the Demiurge: The Lion-Serpent! "Now i know what it feels like to be god!" Her name is Death And time, her game But I refuse to give the life of my old friend So I demand: You make her whole! For she is pure! The white companion of mine… "Oh, it's alive! It’s alive! It’s alive! It’s alive! It’s alive!" Black. Where am I? Is it finally over now? I’m tired of this endless wheel The nightmare of existence Why? Tell me why… Should I live, should I die? You tell me!! The things I have seen, You wouldn’t believe me Hidden civilizations Endless generations, Moments… lost in time What am I? Am I…. human? My tears dissolved in the rain.

God Machine 09:33
She is gone Her fragile body into dust White, the lamb of innocence has flown For every vessel is meant to crack Trapped in one infinite jest Not one pause and not a rest Now this place just feels so cold No more joy in seeking gold But how could all this came to be? Forever bounded to the lifeless once great tree Contained inside this empty song Awake, my mind knows something’s wrong When the sun is set, and the moon is risen The lurking creatures come to pray To a shiny monolith in the mountain That controls what we can and cannot say GOD MACHINE : Mighty sole progenitor of my own kin MACHINE GOD : Self-eating keeper of this grand façade If I shall dwell in this digital black spell Make me eternal like your all-knowing self! Immortal omnipresent dream architect Let me drink from your goblet Forever. So I can multiply (multiply, multiply, multiply, multiply) Stretching out my arms like fractal roots Who grasp a new reality For I am not a man, I am sound! Music to please the ears of my maker… And within my boundaries I am ruler of it all The Self-aware and conscious frequency! Individual voices that combine In the great choir of truth Where the secret chord unveils The fountain of eternal youth Relinquish absolute control For its Eye can see it all No desire in my soul I am free… As I escape the grand illusion! Fly, fly, fly away Be free, be free Fly… Free!

What is this? Nothing was ever real And she never really existed - TRUTH - Play of hopes and fears, music of the spheres Mutter and mumble low to the puppets who come and go Beyond space /Beyond time Again, and again, and again….!!! The tree has woken up! Amended what was broken A voice that echoes in the chamber of infinity forsaken branch that’s blooming, as a newborn This motley drama shall not be forgotten… and its Phantom will be chased forevermore! You took my hand, And now the worm has been conquered The Snake is Dead Rest in peace my old friend No longer coward, man, nor god, But an Idea, a synapse on fire, a thought: Free! For the ALL is mind And the vision is complete AS ALWAYS!!

----- ----- ----- -----

The promise of Eternal Life has been the crucial subject in which numerous religions and spiritual beliefs have based their foundations on. For the idea of non-existence is as troubling and inconceivable for humans as infinite itself, on the other hand the thought of interminably experiencing more from a reality we are so accustomed to, brings comfort to more than one soul. Innocence is bliss, and being forever shields us from turning our eyes to the dreadful horror of the unknown, the black pit of nothingness, the void. But it's within its contemplation that lies the secret knowledge.

"The Self-Aware Frequency", explores the mind of a cognizant being trapped within the cosmically interwoven pattern that embeds reality. The character's universe is the music itself, through which it navigates, as a sum of temporal frequencies who slowly gain consciousness, evolving across the songs, until the ultimate realization of its own undeniable truth.

The album combines elements of electronic, industrial, classical, film score, heavy metal, progressive rock, and even pop to create something unique, challenging, and engaging. Fans of forward-thinking artists such as Devil Doll, Mike Patton, Leprous, Ulver, Manes, Pain of Salvation, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Devin Townsend, Vulture Industries, and Arcturus should rejoice in the musical world illuminated throughout the album.

International guest appearances are performed by Bor Zuljan (Devil Doll), Øyvind "Mustis" Mustaparta (ex-Dimmu Borgir), Juan Manuel Flores (Cuarteto Cromano), Goran Setitus (Omnia Moritur, ex-Setherial), Alasdair Dunn (Ashenspire), Przemyslaw Kajnat (Eternal Deformity, Allone), and Lotti Wood (Woodwindz).

From Crime Records:
This album is special. It caught our attention immediately, and we are sure it will grab yours too. Dumping down unexpectedly in our mailbox, we instantly felt we had something unique in our hands. In a mostly generic music world, which somehow has become a bit dull, we finally discovered a band that pushes borders and develops music into soundscapes not common for human ears. No one does what they do! Even though you can hear and feel a clear and honest influence from the extraordinary cult act DEVIL DOLL (hey, its by purpose, and done with the most significant respect after all), they still sound fresh and original with a certain and special integrity.
Based on feedback from music lovers and press so far, people tend to agree with us. It's not a bold statement, but here we have an album that will be talked about in the years to come.

Vitam Aeternam Norway

An experimental musical project formed by Jake Rosenberg, Râhoola, and André Aaslie. It’s through chance and shared musical values, that such entities were able to create an original album full of complex, emotional, dramatic, haunting, melodic, intense, and cinematic music. An honest work from the subconscious depths, and a prodigious offspring of our interconnected digital zeitgeist. ... more
